Picture this: The hum of excited fans in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, mingling with the wonderful creators featured in the Knoxville International Film Festival movie screenings, Christian authors like Kenyon T. Henry, Artists Robert and Shawn Lamb and big names like Kevin and Sam Sorbo, Nikita Koloff, Lara Silva and more all under one roof at the Music Road Convention Center.

That's Rise Up Con 2025—June 27-29—a volunteer-run haven where faith meets fandom, drawing hundreds for Q&A panels, autograph sessions, and inspiring talks from Christian music artists and filmmakers. For Almighty Wings Productions, this wasn't just an event; it was a divine rendezvous that reignited our passion for creating uplifting, family-friendly content.

With Matt's 30+ years of post-production expertise and our commitment to seamless narratives, we walked away buzzing about collaborations that could elevate faith-based stories to new heights.

Who knew Pigeon Forge could spark such inspiration? Let's dive into the highlights—and the handshakes that have us dreaming big.

The Rise Up Vibe:

Where Inspiration Meets Action

Rise Up Con isn't your average comic con—it's a celebration of faith-infused entertainment, featuring screenings of KCIFF winners and panels unpacking how media shapes culture. We soaked it all in, from lively discussions on homeschooling with Sam Sorbo and Tiffany Boyd of Save YOUR Children to meet-and-greets that felt like old friends reuniting.

For us at Almighty Wings Productions, it was a reminder of why we formalized our LLC in 2025: to counter secular drifts with positive, high-quality productions that honor Kingdom values. Attending reinforced our visions of uplifting quality in Christian entertainment.

But the real fun? The people. In a sea of creatives hungry for collaborative sparks, we connected with visionaries who share our drive for content that inspires without compromise.

Spotlight:

Teaming Up with Brainy Pixel Studios

One standout moment was our time with the team from Brainy Pixel Studios, the award-winning Christian animation studio that's been animating faith-based wonders since 2014. Specializing in 2D/3D animations, VFX, and even comics that glorify Christ, their portfolio—from family adventures to educational shorts—mirrors our mission to produce uplifting media.

We geeked out over synergies: Imagine blending their vibrant visuals with our meticulous post-production for a hybrid project that captivates kids and parents alike. Their emphasis on high-quality storytelling (no shortcuts, just heart) aligns perfectly with our values.

It's partnerships like this that make the entertainment landscape feel less like a solo quest and more like a faith-fueled relay.

Heart-to-Heart with Kevin and Sam Sorbo:

Icons of Faith on Screen

Then came the thrill of meeting Kevin and Sam Sorbo—Hollywood heavyweights turned faith champions. Kevin, forever etched in our minds as Hercules, has pivoted to roles championing justice and redemption in films that tackle tough topics like protecting the unborn. Sam, his powerhouse partner, brings sharp insights on media's cultural sway, making their joint appearances at Rise Up Con a highlight for all.

We swapped stories about navigating industry hurdles with unwavering values. Their advice? Lean into authenticity—something we live by in every edit, minimizing notes through upfront attention to detail. Chatting about potential collaboration, like voicing two of our main characters in our upcoming educational game, left us fired up.

These encounters aren't just networking; they're affirmations that quality content can shift cultures, one polished concept at a time.

Legacy Legends:

Rob and Shawn Lamb's Timeless Tales

From He-Man heroism to heartfelt histories—who says conventions can't rewrite your origin story? We had the joy of connecting with Rob Lamb, the Filmation veteran whose storyboard artistry brought He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra: Princess of Power to life in the '80s, alongside scripting gems like BraveStarr. Now a retired graphic designer and illustrator, Rob's eye for dynamic visuals is simply inspiring.

Rob's creative spark shines even brighter alongside his wife, Shawn Lamb, the award-winning young adult fantasy author and former Filmation scriptwriter whose Christian historical fiction explores belief, family, and redemption. With titles voted among "50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading" and a knack for event speaking, Shawn's narratives—from epic quests to moral dilemmas—make perfect additions to our family library.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner chatting about their adventures together. These con moments? Pure Kingdom synergy.

Dynamic Duo:

Kenyon T. Henry's Multi-Talented Vision

Our Rise Up Con adventure also included an energizing chat with Kenyon T. Henry, the multi-award-winning author, actor, and producer whose urban fantasy and young adult tales pack pack emotional depth with faith-infused twists alongside his amazing wife Shaunna.

Known for novels like Choice of the Mighty: Chronicles of Stephen and his role as co-founder of Mighty Film Productions, Kenyon's journey from page to screen—starring in and directing projects like Country Rain and Sanctus House—resonates with our own pivot to premium post-production. We bonded over the challenges of indie filmmaking on micro-budgets, swapping ideas over dinner.

Kenyon's passion for glorifying God through storytelling? It's the kind of fire that could fuel a joint venture, turning his scripts into visuals that linger long after the credits.
